While OneAlex.com was started in 2016 as a small business by Alex Yee,  our network of local workers and skilled craftsmen were in this business of construction, renovation and maintenance of building of all kinds, since 1990s. And most of them come from the new villages or kampung baru Cina. 

In mid 1980s and early 1990s, many of the new village residents in Malaysia were blue-collar workers, labourers and craftsmen. At that time, Malaysia construction and property development sector was booming and many of them had entered into this sector and learnt the skill sets and became experts in this field. So do OneAlex team of workers and subcontractors. 

Alex was born in a new village in Selangor - Seri Kembangan (formerly known as Kampung Baru Serdang Baru). His own parent, relatives, friends and classmates, many of them, were in the profession and business of construction, renovation and maintenance of buildings. But he was in the sales and marketing area for different products and services. In his past career, he built up his networking with many of these corporate clients of buildings, all kinds, in Klang Valley. 

In 2016, he decided to leverage on his network of friends and classmates in this field plus his own network of corporate clients contact, he started to venture into this business and set up OneAlex ("One" in Cantonese sounds like the word - Find or 揾), making good use of latest Internet/Social Media tools like Facebook, Google, WhatsApp, WeChat, Website and CRM to deliver a traditional blue-collar business in a better way.
